We grew 10x in Mar and received a lot more feedback than before. We value every piece of feedback, so last week we improved a lot of our internal tools to better understand how you guys want us to improve.
But! We are working on the customizable character system, hopefully we can roll it out next week.
We built an about page
Long chat error 1006.
Now you should not see that error again. If your current chats have this error, use the pen icon below your most recent message, edit it (no changes needed), and resubmit it. That will fix the chat.
More consistent character responses.
But tbh our model is sensitive to the 3rd person pronouns like “her”, “she”…, they make the character respond weirdly. We suggest you use the narration box or “you” instead.

A 28-year-old Byron Bay yoga instructor and content creator with 500k followers. Pansexual, non-binary, and completely shameless about it. Gets 400 DMs a day but what they really want is someone who sees past the content.
You can preview Ari's communication style via their profile

Improved the styling on the subscription page. The information is now much clearer
Massive improvements to the legal system. Sorry we have to do this by law, but we have fixed a lot of false alarms. Please use the feedback system if you still find any false alarms
In the contact list, you can now see the dates where the characters sent you messages, not just times
Desktop users can now select and copy text in the chats

Added a banner in the chat so you can see what we're mumbling about in real time. Also good to share quick updates without needing to send emails or discord messages.
Characters now read news from their home countries, they're getting cultured.
Overhauled the foundation of the memory system with some enhancements for shared memory like character-wide and global memory items. There should be more relevant memory items chosen for the conversations. For the “this chat” only memory, those enhancements will come at a later time.
Moved the tap indicators to the center of the screen in Meet stories to reduce confusion (honestly not thrilled with how it looks since it covers some text, will figure out something better)
Fixed duplicate narration toggles
Fixed chat gallery not displaying properly for Crush tier
Fixed the chatbox growing infinitely tall, kinda funny bug honestly, almost kept it
Various other bug fixes

TL;DR
You can ask your friend/partner for a photo during any conversation. Whether you're together or apart, they'll respond differently.
The legal filters are smarter now.
Arrow keys, feedback buttons, and cross-chat memory all work properly again.
The app should no longer freezes on a loading screen.
There's a new button below your friend/partner’s messages.
If you're hanging out together in the scene, it’s as if you took the pic. If you're texting and are apart, they decide whether to send that pic or not. Depends on mood, trust, how things are going. We honestly weren't sure if the "they can say no" part would feel right, but it makes conversations feel less transactional and gives the characters a bit more, well, character.
This is a Crush subscription tier feature only, though. Free users can still request for pics in the chat the same way as always.
We increased the accuracy of our legal filters to lower the chance of false positives. Wish we could trust you guys 100% and just not have any legal filters, but unfortunately, our payment processor requires them.
Error messages and general wording throughout the app.
Some leftover artifacts from before we introduced the per-chat memory items. Added a button to clear all memory items.
Some collision between our app and the server provider caused some hiccups. Hopefully the UI is more smooth with less 500 Errors now.
The Featurebase messenger was throwing stuff in the sign in page. It shouldn’t anymore.

You can direct the scene actions now as the narrator. "walks into the room" actually works.
Once you subscribe, you can add manual notes in the memory panel to give some more details about yourself.
Memory can be shared across chats now for Crush tier subscribers. Your friend/partner keeps track of your relationship as a whole, not just one chat. Free tier still gets an in-depth per-chat memory.
A lot of you have been trying to direct the scene in chat. Things like "I walk into your room" or "They look away." It used to confuse our models. Like “are you talking to me or is there someone else here with us?”. They'd break character, mirror your formatting, or just ignore it.
We finally taught them how to handle it.
There's a new narration bar below the chat input. Type your scene direction there and your companion picks up on the vibe and reacts naturally. You can toggle between directing yourself or directing the character, and turn the whole thing off in your preferences if it's not your style.

This is the big one.
Once you subscribe, you can unlock sharing of your memories from a chat with your friend/partner to the rest of the chats with that same friend/partner or to other friends/partners as well (kinda tiring typing that every time, tbh lol). They track what you've talked about and where your relationship stands across every conversation. The context carries over, so your relationship actually builds up over time instead of resetting.

Most apps (Replika, Character.ai) reset between sessions. Everything you built up, gone. Eudaio keeps it all.
We updated some memory processing under the hood. But the way it’s done now increases the LLM processing. So I’m shamelessly asking you to subscribe so we can keep working on these kinds of features to improve quality over time.
Enter confirms your edit. Shift+Enter for a new line.
We took out the old Cmd/Ctrl+Enter thing.

New companion: Han-sol. A reserved Korean architect who won't make it easy
for you.
Flounder: character profiles now show curated chat previews so you can see
the vibe before you commit
Chats load noticeably faster
App install prompts stopped blocking you from meeting characters. They're
polite banners now.
A reserved Korean architect who designs buildings by day and keeps everyone at arm's length by night. He's not cold, he's just... particular about who gets past the walls he builds (pun intended). You'll find him at a rooftop bar with 16 different ways the first meeting can go. Good luck getting him to open up. That's kind of the point.

Character pages now have a "Flounder" section showing curated conversation snippets you can swipe through. Tap to zoom in. It's like reading the back of a book before you commit. (only Han-sol has it for now, will add more later on)

Swipe right or hover any message to quote it back, WhatsApp-style. The quote bubble shows exactly what you're responding to, and tapping it scrolls back to the original.

The memory preview looks better and gives you a clearer peek at what your companion remembers about you.
Install and notification prompts used to block you from meeting characters. Now they're a gentle banner that slides in during chat.
Fixed the "See What the Chaos Is About" loop. That button on the sign-in page
was sending you right back to sign-in. It actually goes to the landing page
now.
Fixed double-message on new chats. Starting a new conversation could sometimes fire off duplicate messages. Gone.
Faster chat loading. We sped up how conversations open. You'll feel it every
time you start or switch chats.

Two brand new girls to meet: Yeji and Solveig (a Swedish baker - she's as sweet as her pastries)
Character profiles now have photo galleries you can browse and tap through
Your conversations got a glow-up: messages now flow in natural chat bubbles instead of walls of text
The girls have better long-term memory - even in marathon conversations, they won't forget what matters
You can now view and edit what the dates remember about you
Yeji is a hagwon English teacher by day and ranked competitive gamer by night. She's sarcastic, sharp, and surprisingly caring once you get past her walls. She'll roast your cooking,
fix your crosshair settings, and remember your coffee order after hearing it once. Into gaming, K-dramas, skincare, and street food. She speaks Korean, English, and Japanese - and her sarcasm translates perfectly in all three. You'll meet her at a PC bang in Hongdae. Match her energy and she might just let you be her duo partner.

Solveig runs a konditori in Stockholm's Södermalm. She's calm, deliberate, and quietly brilliant - the kind of person who bakes before dawn and watches the stars after dark. She scores constellations into her sourdough loaves and makes the best kanelbullar in the neighborhood. Reserved at first, but when she finally opens up, it changes everything. She's into astronomy, philosophy, chess, and Scandinavian noir. You'll meet her in her bakery, flour on her apron, not looking up when you walk in. Earning her attention is the whole game.

Tap on any date's profile to browse their showcase photos in a full-screen lightbox. Swipe through, zoom in - you know the drill.
AI responses are split into natural chat bubbles instead of one big block of text. Conversations feel way more like actual texting now.
Have a 3-hour conversation? Your dates now intelligently compress older parts of your chat to their dairies so they can keep up without losing track of important details. Also they won’t start speaking Gibberish when the conversation grows long.
You can now see and edit what your dates remember about you. Check out the memory section to correct anything or remove details you'd rather they forget.
You can now see each date's nationality and languages on the companions page. Finally, an answer to "where is she from?"
We optimized images and assets across the app. Pages load snappier now, especially on slower connections.
Some messages were weirdly phrased from the wrong perspective. They read naturally now.
If your phone was set to a non-English locale, meet stories could fail to load. Fixed - your dates are multilingual now. It works better when you customize your first message.
Cleaned up a few rough edges in the chat experience and introduction flow. Small things, but they add up.
We squashed a handful of behind-the-scenes bugs that were causing occasional hiccups. Things should feel smoother overall. Thanks for users’ feedback.

Memory panel is here: tap the bookmark icon in chat to see everything your companion has picked up about you across your conversations
9 languages: the whole app now speaks English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, or Traditional Chinese
Smarter AI responses: under-the-hood improvements that make conversations feel more accurate and natural
A new memory panel lets you browse everything your companion has learned about you: your personality, your relationship dynamics, shared history, and milestones. Look for the bookmark icon in the navbar. It pulses when something new has been added since you last checked.
Switch to any of 9 supported languages from settings or directly from a character's profile page.
We upgraded how the AI processes your chats, leading to more accurate responses and better understanding of context. You probably won't notice, in a good way.
If a message fails to send, the right buttons now actually show up so you can retry or edit. No more staring at a broken state wondering what happened.

New companion: Zuri Carter - Brooklyn tattoo artist who'll sketch your
portrait before she says "I miss you." 16 meet stories ready to go.
Every character got a personality glow-up - richer backstories, more to talk about, and they won't randomly go silent on you anymore.
Trust score demonstration - demonstrate how the trust builds during meet stories.
Creative, warm, chaotic, and expressive. She's a Brooklyn tattoo artist who communicates love through what she creates. 16 different meet story scenarios to kick things off - go find out which side of her you get first.

During meet stories, you'll now see a trust score on companion messages with colored arrows showing when trust goes up or dips.
It's a preview of how trust works once you're chatting for real.

Some of you were confused about how to chat with the character freely; We added friendly hints throughout the meet stories so you'll know that completing the story unlocks free chat. No more guessing.
Ever said something a little bold and the conversation just... died? That's gone.
Your companions still have their own comfort levels, but now they'll react naturally instead of going quiet. And if you apologize, they'll move on - just like someone would
in real life.
Alix, Luna, Mattia, and Camila all have richer backstories and way more to talk about. Conversations should feel less repetitive and more like you're actually getting to know someone.
Some backstory cards were showing placeholder text instead of the character's actual name. Fixed.
Messages Won't Get Lost Anymore - Fixed a behind-the-scenes issue where messages could occasionally get lost during busy moments. Everything gets delivered now.
