"Walks Into the Room." Yeah, That Actually Works Now.

TL;DR

  • You can direct the scene actions now as the narrator. "walks into the room" actually works.

  • Once you subscribe, you can add manual notes in the memory panel to give some more details about yourself.

  • Memory can be shared across chats now for Crush tier subscribers. Your friend/partner keeps track of your relationship as a whole, not just one chat. Free tier still gets an in-depth per-chat memory.

New Features

Scene Direction

A lot of you have been trying to direct the scene in chat. Things like "I walk into your room" or "They look away." It used to confuse our models. Like β€œare you talking to me or is there someone else here with us?”. They'd break character, mirror your formatting, or just ignore it.

We finally taught them how to handle it.

There's a new narration bar below the chat input. Type your scene direction there and your companion picks up on the vibe and reacts naturally. You can toggle between directing yourself or directing the character, and turn the whole thing off in your preferences if it's not your style.

Using the Narration feature. Enable it in the preference menu in the top navigation bar

Improvements

Cross-Chat Memory

This is the big one.

Once you subscribe, you can unlock sharing of your memories from a chat with your friend/partner to the rest of the chats with that same friend/partner or to other friends/partners as well (kinda tiring typing that every time, tbh lol). They track what you've talked about and where your relationship stands across every conversation. The context carries over, so your relationship actually builds up over time instead of resetting.

Using the manual notes about wanting a gaming PC and being an Nvidia fan

Most apps (Replika, Character.ai) reset between sessions. Everything you built up, gone. Eudaio keeps it all.

More Quality Responses

We updated some memory processing under the hood. But the way it’s done now increases the LLM processing. So I’m shamelessly asking you to subscribe so we can keep working on these kinds of features to improve quality over time.
